Known Issues

IMPORTANT NOTE

Known Issues are now tracked in our new documentation and support system. The list below is no longer maintained as of August 31, 2017.

  • 2017-06-12 GRIDSMART 6.6: GS2 Processors that were shipped without a cell modem or whose cell modem adapters have been manually deleted from the operating system will not sync data and images to USB drives or support the Publish to Drive feature. This issue was resolved with GRIDSMART 6.7.

  • 2017-05-18 GRIDSMART 6.6: In some rare cases, GS2 processors may unexpectedly restart once or twice between midnight and 3:00am local time. If you encounter this problem, please contact Support for assistance with a resolution. This issue was resolved with GRIDSMART 6.7.

  • 2017-02-03 Client 6.4-6.5: In some cases, the GRIDSMART Client may fail to migrate existing site data from previous Client versions after upgrading to 6.4 or 6.5. If, when you enter the Reports view, you encounter a dialog that says migrations are still in progress, please contact support. This issue was resolved with GRIDSMART Client 6.5.1.

  • 2016-11-04 Client 6.4: The Realtime Data panel in the GRIDSMART Client 6.4 does not show the realtime data correctly from Processors running versions prior to 6.4. This was resolved with GRIDSMART 6.5.

  • 2016-11-04 GRIDSMART 6.4: The new time sync feature will not function correctly unless the "Allow network access" is enabled in the Network panel of the Site Settings. This was resolved with GRIDSMART 6.5.

  • 2016-10-27 GRIDSMART 6.3 and earlier (GS2 only): In very rare conditions (fewer than 1 in 100 restarts), a GS2 Processor may fail to startup or restart properly, with the fan operating at high volume and maximum speed and all front panel LEDs off. This issued was resolved with GRIDSMART 6.4. A 6.3 or earlier GS2 found in this condition should be powered down completely by disconnecting the power, for at least 60 seconds, before reapplying power.

  • 2016-10-02 GRIDSMART 6.3 and earlier: The Client can show a Processor in learning mode for an abnormally long time when you publish a change that sets the Processor date and/or time backward. Despite the Client indication of learning mode, the Engine will operate normally and this Client bug will not affect intersection operation. The only way to clear this issue is to restart the GRIDSMART Server using VNC or the Reboot System... command in the Client Diagnostics. This issue is resolved with GRIDSMART 6.4.

  • 2016-10-02 GRIDSMART 6.3 and earlier: On rare occasions, you may receive a spurious Flash (Loss of Greens) alert. This bug, fixed with GRIDSMART 6.4, is related to how phases were passed from low-level, real-time routines to high-level, alert monitoring routines. Recall that a Flash (Loss of Greens) alert is sent when no greens are observed for more than 10 seconds.

  • 2016-09-20 GRIDSMART 6.3: Changes introduced in GRIDSMART 6.3 to better classify short-track u-turns created some false u-turn counts on left turns during congestion, where the exiting left-turn vehicles might become partially or fully occluded. This is resolved in GRIDSMART 6.4, but any false u-turn counts recorded while 6.3 was deployed will remain in your data.

  • 2016-06-22 Client 6.0-6.3: If an incorrect password is entered when authentication is required, the Client will report an "Unknown Error." If you encounter this, you will need to close and restart the Client and then enter the correct password to properly authenticate to the site. This bug is resolved with GRIDSMART 6.4.
